Your favourite character(s): Oh, god, I have no idea - in most of my favorite fandoms I love basically everyone. /o\ Let's say Diana right now because I am SO EXCITED for her movie, but also assume it rotates with perfect fairness.
Your favourite ship(s): Well, obviously Bruce/Clark is what's behind my own great heights of productivity right now. :D But I thought Clark/Lois was pretty adorable, I LOVE the idea of Alfred/Diana and Alfred/Martha (... and now that I think of it, Diana/Martha, for that matter), I am SO THERE for Diana/Lois, and there are all kinds of Bruce/Clark/Diana/Lois combinations that appeal to me ... I just want all of these incredibly attractive people to appreciate each other's awesomeness in every way!
Your favourite scene(s) in the DCEU: D: WHAT IS WITH THESE INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT QUESTIONS Diana's big reveal moment + her theme has got to be up there! Also loved "I'm a friend of your son's" - ooh, and that moment in MoS where Clark returns to the farmhouse and smiles and he and Martha hug, gah. And "funnel, fairy, bubblebath"! Favourite books: Harry Potter's the big one - I only lurked, but that was my introduction to online fandom. Also Tamora Pierce. Generally speaking, my taste runs toward SF&F.
Favourite movies: Mad Max: Fury Road! Ghostbusters 2016! Sucker Punch (what is this grip Zack Snyder has on my feelings?!). Basically all the Die Hards, The Losers, RED - apparently I just love groups of people working together and having feelings about each other and also blowing things up. :D
Favourite TV shows: ... Well, The Professionals, obviously. ;) (Username's a reference to a minor character from one ep.) Star Trek, all flavors, is in its own category; I was raised on it and don't consider it "favorite" or "not favorite" so much as present and eternal. Babylon 5 (all flavors; yes, even Crusade and Legend of the Rangers), due South, Stargate (all flavors; yes, even SG:U), BtVS, Firefly, Avatar: The Last Airbender (and Legend of Korra, but with more caveats), Lucifer, Dark Matter, Wynonna Earp ... I absolutely loved the tiny bit of onscreen time they had together though. I felt so much empathy from Diana when she sees Lois running to Clark's body.

I also shipped SGA OT4 in a major way (and now back to admiring Jason Momoa's physique as Aquaman. Who knew he'd get to be such a huge movie star?!)

Oh man, oh man, YES. It's been a few years since I've rewatched it. Aside from due South, B5 might just be my most-watched show... fav characters?? Fav episode/season/plot arc?? How much satisfaction did you get when Vir waved his little fingers at Mr. Morden.

Space diplomacy?? On the watchtower??? As the JL's Babylon 5?????? Good lord, sign me up for that right now.

Haha, I was just going to say, I could see this either as a Fusion AU (Bruce as Sheridan, Clark as Delenn?) or a regular ole DCEU one (SHEER BLOODY MADNESS AND PANIC.) Apologies for all of the punctuation abuse, but I'm too excited.

PS: A crossover with Lucifer is the second-best thing I've heard all day (the B5 crossover plot-bunny was easily the best).

Since Lucifer is a part of the DC universe, it wouldn't even be that hard to shoehorn him into a DCEU fic. Just imagine how UTTERLY BORED Lucifer would be after swanning in, (kind of) destroying Bruce's life with the truth (tho let's not lie, Bruce would be one of the complex ones), and then swanning out. Let's also be real: Lucifer would absolutely not need to compel Clark to tell him anything. If someone straight-out asked him about his feelings on something, even on Grumpy Bats, he'd be like "here's the thing..." and then the truth would follow.

MORE VERY DIFFICULT QUESTIONS. Basically the one character I DON'T like on B5 is Zack Allen? /hopes he is not your fav D: I think Londo and G'Kar's combined arc was ridiculously well done! And individual episodes, gah - most of the really good ones are really good because of all the arc stuff they fit into, haha. Day of the Dead was good??? And how much satisfaction: ALL OF IT. THERE WAS NONE LEFT OVER, MY FRIEND. ;D

And then, yes, with aliens of various kinds in DC media (the Green Lanterns and all that), the Watchtower could also just end up in kind of a B5-like position in-universe, being neutral ground where interplanetary issues get hashed out and people make unlikely friends with their political enemies and and and. :D

Ahahaha, that is SUCH A GREAT MENTAL IMAGE, I can't even. I totally agree that Bruce would be one of the complex ones, but oh, Lucifer would still probably be able to TASTE all that guilt and repression, even if his powers weren't immediately effective. Mission log, November 29th. Today Clark came back from the dead. I felt a strange thump in my chest, a little giddiness. I'm going to have Alfred check the new Batsuit to make sure it's not constricting circulation in my chest. Also, going to test the Kryptonian for possible environmental contaminants. He may be emitting a low-level (particle?) due to his apparent resurrection that makes people happy to see him. Byproduct of the revival process?

I should keep an eye on him, computer...

Reschedule Wednesday to include a visit to Metropolis for a Team Building/Morale event at Wayne Consolidated. Reservations for the nearest bistro where an appearance by Bruce Wayne will not seem noteworthy.

Plan primary car arrival to 'bump into' Clark if he leaves his apartment at his usual time for lunch. Plan secondary car arrival to 'bump into' Clark if he visits Daily Planet during working hours. Plan tertiary 'accident' by roadside in case Clark proves otherwise elusive.

Hmmm. Respiration rate seems abnormal. Have Alfred schedule me in for another physical. Elevated heart rate can't be a good sign in a man my age.

I don't think Zack Allen CAN be anyone's fav. Not with the amount of awesome that exists elsewhere in the show. For me it's a toss-up between Delenn, Kosh, Sheridan, G'Kar and Londo. GOD G'KAR AND LONDO GIVE ME SO MANY FEELS. Their arc is one of the best damn things sci-fi television's ever done, imo. It's hard for me to pick favorites too, given that the show's just so intensely plot-driven. A lot of my favs revolve around Kosh & Sheridan's relationship, or Delenn being a total badass in front of the Gray Council. OR WHENEVER NAROON SHOWS UP. UGhh.

I cry like a baby whenever I even think about the S5 finale.

Absolutely agreed. The way JMS planned out that show made it possible for them not only to start out well and accelerate well, but also really stick the landing, and I just love it. And Kosh! Sheridan! DELENN BEING A BADASS. And oh, man, I loved that duel with Marcus SO MUCH. There were so many great scenes! NOW I WANT TO WATCH IT ALL AGAIN.

I would LOVE to see a reboot

YESSSSSSSSSSSS. I would love that so much! Honestly one of the things that kills me a little is that even the DVDs are limited in their quality, just because of when/how it was filmed. Same, my friend. I'm years overdue for a rewatch. Every time I do, I dream about how amazing it would be if Babylon 5 could have an FX update (hell, even if they did the FX update like they did for Star Trek TOS--but there they had film stock to work with, so a lot of resolution they could squeeze out. Not so for B5.) One of the really interesting things that I've noted about sci-fi series between B5 and now is that the extra budget is just not...very large any more. Sci-fi series tend to feel really sparse. But B5 was cram-packed with extras, background characters, people in full make-up that only walked the Promenade.

But gosh did it make the world feel amazing, and large, and lived in; like stories happened that we didn't even see, because they were outside the purview of the serial format. For real, that's one thing I wouldn't want to lose in a reboot. I'd want to have that same sprawling, populated world. I'm not sure if any channel would have the budget for it! O:

(Plus the SFX would be SO GOOD NOW. :D)

Yes, exactly this! It makes me so sad that we'll never get any better quality out of the original (... like, visual quality, obviously in all other ways the original is EXTREME quality), and that is my #1 reason for wanting a reboot. But I'd also want somebody in charge who was really dedicated to preserving the ~spirit of the original, because trying to grimdark the earnestness out of the heart of B5 would be such a bad idea. D:

I'm fairly sure I'm the person who first brought up Alfred/Diana on meme. I sort of accidentally talked myself into shipping it (while thinking about them just commiserating about Bruce) and once I saw it, I couldn't stop thinking about it. And yesss, exactly, it'd be such a beautiful, calm slow-burn friendship-to-love with lots of banter and laughter and no drama, such a nice contrast to Bruce's angst and Clark's introverted brooding and their dumb communication issues. ALSO FAST CARS, did you talk to me about fast cars? :D

Action movies with feelings are the best. If you haven't seen The Expendables yet, you absolutely need to watch the Expendables. :D Clay/Roque hurts me so much; I live in eternal denial and pretend that Roque just made everyone think he was betraying them, but he didn't really. I feel you, I'm also an old school LJ-er, but I guess I grudgingly got used to tumblr by now. I still miss proper discussions (which is why I appreciate meme so much) and tumblr isn't great for that, but I do like the bit where I get to reblog pretty images and smear my enthusiasm all over the tags.

I leave so many prompts it's kind of embarrassing, I should fill some more. And write some kink for you! :D Tell me all about your favourite kinks? For some reason the stuff I'm writing right now is not super kinky, I got distracted by other prompts, but sooner or later some proper filth will happen.

Heh, maybe they switch at some point and she expects him to take it slower, but it turns out he secretly enjoys racing as much as she does (nobody tell Bruce). Also: suit/dress porn! :D They'd look so gorgeous together. And people would constantly assume that he's a dirty rich old man with a young piece of armcandy. And then get confused because somehow their behaviour doesn't really come across like that. So maybe she's his daughter instead? Cue lots of confused and/or disapproving looks when they go out together.

Oooooh, I can't rec The Expendables enough. I am biased because I adore both Stallone and Statham, but the movies are so much fun (the second one is the best, imo). And Stallone and Statham play basically an old married couple, who banter non-stop while having tons of loyalty kink going on. It's great. Do talk to me if/when you've seen it. :D

I am still pretending that that's the real ending. And then Clay and Roque go home together because CLAY ANSWERED THE QUESTION ABOUT WHETHER HE HAS ANYONE WITH "I GOT ROQUE", NOTHING WILL CONVINCE ME THEY DON'T LIVE TOGETHER.

I think I posted two of the fisting prompts on the kinkmeme, I have such a mighty need for it. On top of my really kinky prompts to write, once I'm done with the two slightly less kinky prompts I'm writing right now, is the consent play scenario because I love it so much. I had not thought about dancing before! You are so right, they would look gooooooooorgeous together. And this would probably start when they're still not-really-dating and don't touch all that much, except for when Alfred offers her his hand when she gets out of the car and stuff like that (and she accepts, because she knows that he knows that she doesn't need his help, she could lift him with her little finger, but she appreciates the quiet, matter of fact way he goes about it, and it is a nice excuse to touch his hand). So, yessssssss, dancing.
And absolutely, they're both so utterly comfortable in who they are, there wouldn't be any unnecessary drama. And yesss, Alfred would worry that she minds the looks they're getting, and she might think that he might mind, but neither of them really wants to stop going out together.

So much banter, you have no idea. Their entire conversations are basically bitching at each other and complaining about each other while working together like a perfect team and doing everthing for each other. When they have a serious argument, it's basically like a couple having a fight. And then they obviously forgive each other because they can't live without each other.
Looks like the BvS party is on Sunday, so you could marathon The Expendables on Saturday? ;) The first one is good, the second one is great, a lot of people liked the third one less, but it still has some really awesome moments.
