It's not that Clark is homophobic, he has no problem with gay people and obviously he finds homophobia disgusting, it's just that he isn't gay. Most definitely not. It doesn't fit with how he's imagined his life, getting married to a nice girl some day and settling down with her. No way is he attracted to men.

So he doesn't understand why it upsets him so much to see Bruce flirting with other people, especially when it's men he flirts with. Why he gets downright angry when he finds out Bruce sleeps with men. He doesn't understand why he wants to touch Bruce sometimes. And the closer they become, the more they actually befriend each other, the more time he spends with him, the harder it is to be around him.

And maybe Bruce makes a move one day and Clark doesn't know how to react? Or maybe Clark figures things out on his own? I don't mind how you resolve this, but I would like a happy ending after all the angst and confusion.

I just read prince!Bruce AU and now I need another. I want something where Bruce, a king, doesn't become Batman. How does he react to Superman? When he meets Clark, is it love at first sight or does he worry about Clark just liking him because of his status?

Please tell me I'm not the only one who wants to see this??!

AU where there's an age difference of ~20ish years between them. Bruce finds Clark (as a baby? Orphaned child? Author's choice), takes him in, and trains him to be Batman's sidekick. Daddy!kink and top!Bruce please. I would prefer if the sexual part of their relationship doesn't start until Clark is at least in his teens.

Bruce + Dick, post-BvS

Some time after BvS Dick drops by to give Bruce a stern talking to for 1) fighting Superman, 2) thinking it's a good idea to take on Superman all by himself instead of giving Dick a call. I just want all the estranged, complicated father-son-stuff (estranged because Bruce seems so damn lonely in BvS that I doubt he still regularly talks to Dick).

Bruce/Dick is cool, too. And Bruce/Clark, if Clark is already back among the living.

Bruce/Clark - forced proximity and bed sharing

so lex knows batman's secret identity, right? there's not exactly much stopping him from blabbing now he's in prison so either:

bruce and alfred have to go to increasingly outlandish methods to stop anyone in the press taking him seriously

or

bruce decides its too much of a risk and snatches to lex to keep as a prisoner in the batcave

Clark and Lois eventually break up, Clark is not really the type for one-night-stands, and just ends up being incredibly touch-starved. So when he starts having no-strings-attached sex with Bruce, he gets all kinds of unwanted feelings simply because Bruce is touching him and Clark needs that so desperately.

Idk, go from there, I just need touch-starved Clark and both of them thinking there are no feelings involved in their fucking (spoiler: there totally are feelings).

Clark temporarily loses his powers, and while it's initially jarring, he gradually adjusts and tries to go about on a somewhat normal routine after telling his inner circle (which can also include the league since they're building themselves up). Problem is that he is somehow an even bigger danger magnet than Lois in this state.

Like maybe he'll finally be writing about the Gotham/Metropolis soccer game Perry has been yelling at him to cover when the Joker or Bane or whatever takes the stadium hostage and specifically the press box. And of course Clark gets singled out to get hauled out of the box.

Or he'll be following up a lead for another story when he crosses paths with escaping bank robbers who snatch him up to try and hold off pursuing police.

Or hell, he'll just be eating cereal in his apartment when some weirdo alien from another dimension of the future/Apokolips minion comes crashing through his window and tries to take off with him knowing he's Superman/last son of Krypton/blah blah.

And Batman happens to come to his rescue every time, and he can't get the sight of increasingly disheveled and vulnerable and grateful Clark out of his mind, and he growls out something about locking Clark up in the Batcave for his own protection, and they argue about how serious Bruce sounds about actually doing that.

And depowered Clark could actually get hurt, right? So Bruce could patch him up and take care of all his little cuts and bruises (and they hurt, Clark isn't used to being in pain) while being both incredibly worried and incredibly grumpy and gruff about it. :D

Think slice of life fic - just Bruce and Clark learning small details about each other over time, maybe as a five times fics. Clark finding out about yet another amazing thing Bruce can do ("you speak how many languages???"), Bruce stalking Clark a bit to find out everything about him, from his favorite food to his tastes in music ... Or more intimate things like how Bruce shivers when you kiss him behind the ear, or how Clark loves having his hair stroked or things like that.

With Bruce getting off on pretending that he doesn't want it and that Superman is forcing him. Bruce might need to talk Clark into it, who's a bit freaked out by the idea, and who feels guilty about how much he enjoys it once they try it out.

Both violent, brutal Superman who likes to make Bruce hurt while fucking him and weirdly gentle Superman who tells Bruce that he just needs to surrender and accept his fate because a mere human like him couldn't stop Superman anyway would be great. Maybe they try both versions. :D

I don't know what's with me but Clark in that nightmare of Bruce, even though looking so fierce and angry, seems so sad too. It's like there are tears glistering in his eyes when he talks about how Bruce has taken his love away from him. So it just makes me think that Clark is struggling with his feelings, because how can he feel anything for a man who he is supposed to hate? The one who has caused him so much pain? Clark is like in deep denial as he pushes Bruce to the ground and rides him. Clark tells himself he's doing this to hurt Bruce, to get his revenge, and he doesn't know why he is crying. Bonus if later it's revealed Bruce has managed to free himself from the chain long ago, but doesn't say anything, when Clark is done and collapse to his chest, Bruce hugs him.

Steve wants Tony, but thinks Tony would never be interested, so he hooks up with Bruce because this obnoxious, flirtatious billionaire in his expensive suits is as close as he thinks he'll ever get to Tony.

Bonus if both Clark and Tony are absolutely besides themselves with jealousy. Because Steve deserves better than this douchebag Bruce Wayne, thinks Tony. Because Clark doesn't understand why Bruce would rather hook up with this stranger who happens to be Captain America than turn to him.

I'm mostly familiar with the MCU, but any version of Steve and Tony is fine by me. Would prefer if Bruce knows Steve = Cap, but Steve doesn't know that Bruce = Batman.
