Bruce/Clark: Misunderstanding leads to misery and almost losing it all

Clark is madly, deeply in love with Bruce, but he's tormented by it as well because all his life he's been straight. It is all overwhelming and leads to Clark loathing himself as even more abnormal than he already is. Bruce wants Clark too and he's on the verge of revealing his feelings when something happens that makes Bruce think that Clark is repulsed by homosexuality. It couldn't be further from the truth because Clark really does stand for equality. Either way Bruce in his anger and hurt abrupt cuts Clark out of his personal life and barely interacts with Superman.

Clark is confused and hurt by Bruce's behavior, and it starts to affect the entire league. Some members are just as massively confused, while other members jump to the same conclusion as Bruce that Clark is prejudiced. It turns into one giant mess with Clark feeling alienated and alone from his only friends and pining for the man he loves. It is tearing him apart.

This Hellish situation continues until there is a huge fight with some villain, Kryptonite is involved, and Clark throws himself in the way to protect Bruce. A barely alive Clark confesses his love for Bruce before he passes out, leaving a stunned Bruce devastated. Clark barely makes it, and Bruce's devastation only increase when he learns just how much Clark loves him, and all the crap he and the others piled onto Clark.

CUE THE GLORIOUS ANGST AND GUILTY BRUCE AND LEAGUE. Make them work to earn Clark's forgiveness.

Bonus: If Bruce takes Clark to the manor to recover despite Clark's protests and Clark receives the full and epic force of Alfred Pennyworth's mother henning with the rest of the Batfamily pitching in.

yes yes yes you had me at "Clark is madly, deeply in love with Bruce". this prompt has so much potential for angst and i hope it gets filled! also, there's a fic called Smothered Desires by Avaya on ao3 that sort of fits the misunderstanding part of the prompt. just thought i'd mention it since i really enjoyed it + i was reminded of it while reading this prompt :)

I'd love to see Bruce and Lois developing a friendship after the events of BvS. Lois has a LOT of animosity towards Bruce, especially as she keeps running into him in places that he has no right visiting: Clark's grave, Superman's memorial, even in Smallville. But eventually she realizes he's trying to make amends, and it helps to have more people to talk to who knew Clark's identity.

I'd be happy just to see a friendship between them (casefic shenanigans maybe :D?), but if things turn romantic I'd prefer if Lois instigates it.

How do things shake out when Clark returns and Bruce is alarmed to find he has feelings for him? If Bruce and Lois hook up, what happens next? How do they renegotiate their relationships?

Clark didn't come back right. In fact, if you asked most of the Justice League, Clark didn't come back at all. However, one night, as Bruce is hacking Kryptonian technology into the Watchtower's computers, he discovers an errant strand of programming. It should be nothing. But it's nothing he's ever seen before; and finds his suspicions confirms when it begins communicating with him; then constructs itself a voice. Imagine Bruce's surprise when it's Clark's voice that comes across the Watchtower comms. Basically, this prompt is an excuse to have a story with a disembodied Clark who grows closer to Bruce, and has to connect to Bruce only through his voice.

SUPER BONUS POINTS and my undying thanks if this would lead to a scene where Clark directs Bruce to masturbate, and then talks him through it.

After the death of his father, Clark Kent found himself obsessed with tornadoes and chasing them, both as a scientific endeavour and to save people's lives whenever he can.

At some point he seeks funding for his work from Wayne Enterprises. He gets the green light from Bruce Wayne himself, but only if he can ride along for a while to see what the deal is. (The Bat, of course, has noticed that people seem to survive remarkably deadly situations when Clark is around).

Clark's expectation was a stuffed shirt who'd wet himself at the first sight of a tornado touching down. What he got was a man he suspects is either incredibly brave or incredibly crazy. Either way, he's caught on that Clark isn't all he seems.

Bruce is in the scout ship (filched from Metropolis and parked somewhere safe now, I guess) and accidentally sits in a Kryptonian massage chair that's set to "fuck". I can't find a photo of that one robot on the ship that has tentacles, but I'm sure I need hardly remind you that Kryptonians can't even build a terraformer or extradimensional prison without it being all about dildo pods and stuff getting sensually caressed with tentacles, so their massage chairs are bound to be 100% ridges and wiggly stuff.

I'm happy to see renewed activity on the kinkmeme, however, I would like to remind everyone that prompts are not detailed story outlines. Prompts are supposed to be brief ideas, at most a couple of sentences long, that a potential filler can expand on. Not several paragraphs.

I'm not going to screen the existing prompts, but I will start screening prompts that continue to break this rule. Please keep things short and to the point.

Clark drops in on Bruce in the middle of phone sex, as a surprise (maybe they have a lot of phone sex because they're both so busy?), and discovers that Bruce masturbates in an odd way -- in a peculiar position, or with some sort of unusual object, for example. Either he's got a kink he hasn't mentioned to Clark, or he got into the habit when he was young and never broke it. Outcome up to the writer, but Clark participating in or verbally directing Bruce through his weird masturbation routine would be super great.

Sadly, so is everybody else. Clark seems in his right mind, but the same can't be said for the rest of them. The Justice League fight to bring the zombie incursion under control, and get to the bottom of this foul necromancy.

I appreciate that you're prompting a lot of plotty ideas because you'd genuinely like to see them as fics. Even with a wide definition of the term "kink," these aren't kinkmeme prompts. You're prompting plot; you're prompting story. As a filler on this meme, I enjoy writing both plot and story. But I'm writing for kinks, and here you are just demanding what amounts to longfic. Please stop.

Hey buddy, I appreciate that you're writing more kinkmeme-appropriate prompts now, but slow down. You're still spamming, and it's rude. Everyone can identify your prompts, and none of us are going to fill them because you have spent days being extremely disruptive and making the kinkmeme inhospitable to everyone but yourself. Take a break. Maybe make some fanwork of your own, if you have so many ideas. Come back in a few weeks and maybe we'll see what's what. But for now, you're only further decreasing the chances of any of your prompts being filled.

Clark comes back from the dead and together with Bruce and the rest of the League they defeat whatever the main threat is. Afterward, Clark and Bruce are tentatively beginning their epic friendship. Then Clark starts to notice how close Bruce is with the other members of the League, like Arthur, Diana, or Barry. It just sets Clark's teeth on edge until finally one of the league members flirts a bit too much. Clark is battling to keep himself from doing anything rash, but when Bruce stuns everyone by flirting back, Clark is pushed over the edge. He devises a way to get Bruce alone and once he does, he lets the Bat know quite thoroughly that he belongs to Clark and no one else.
