Discussion/Writing Post

This post is for everything that's not prompts, fills or comments on prompts/fills. You can discuss the movies or trailers or headcanons here, but you can also use this as a writing post: talk about fic ideas you've had (whether they're based on kinkmeme prompts or not), brainstorm with others, bounce ideas off someone, or post snippets you've written to get some feedback. Or even just some cheerleading and support while you write. You can also use this post to find a beta.

God, hands are the worst. I've never found a good tutorial on actually painting them, only endless ones on constructing them in the first place. I haven't really evolved beyond saturated/pinker tones on the fingers and bluer on the back of the hand then gratuitous radiosity and highlights, then oops, better spend ages pushing everything around til it serendipitously looks right. HANDS /throws up hands

Hands are absolutely the worst. Even worse than feet. You can usually hide feet in shoes, at least (OR LOL, MEDIUM SHOT, NO FEET IN THIS PICTURE :D :D :D). I've had similar experiences: I've found really detailed tutorials on drawing/constructing hands, but when it comes to painting them, there's a lot of "and then a miracle occurs" that goes on in the explanation.

I will try out the saturated/pinker tones and bluer ones for the back of the hands, see if that helps me out with my problem. TY nonny. <3
