DCEU Prompt Post #1
Welcome to Round One of the DCEU Kink Meme!
Please have a look at the extended rules here.
The important rules in short:
- Post anonymously.
- Negative comments on other people's prompts (kink-shaming, pairing-bashing etc.) and personal attacks of any kind will not be tolerated.
- One prompt per comment. Warnings for common triggers and squicks are encouraged, but not required.
- Prompts should follow the format: Character/character, prompt.
- Keep prompts to a reasonable length; prompts should not be detailed story outlines.
- No prompt spamming.
Please direct any questions to the Ask a mod post. For inspiration: list of kinks .
Prompt, write, draw, comment, and most importantly have fun! Please link to your fills on the fill post.
Here's the discussion post for all your non-prompt/fill needs.
We now have a non-DCEU prompt post for any prompts in other 'verses (comics, animated series, other movies or TV shows etc.).

Re: FILL: tell all the truth (but tell it slant); Bruce/Clark, fake dating (19/19)
(Anonymous) 2016-06-05 12:48 am (UTC)(link)Oh, anon, thank you so much - they really did need to have just one genuinely meaningful conversation to get to the heart of things (not that they don't have a little more talking through all of this in their future, I'm sure, but I tried to unravel the worst of the knot!).
:D Despite all the stuff that happened in the middle that I super had not planned on, I had the ending of this in mind from the beginning: I REALLY wanted the bookend of Clark managing to use the media to help him sort things out, after the media caused the fundamental misunderstanding to start with. So I'm THRILLED BEYOND ALL WORDS that you liked how it worked out! \o/
Bruce is such a restrained mess that this is SUCH a big deal
/o\ :D That is basically the sentiment behind at least 90% of my Bruce feelings, anon - I LOVE how much every tiny thing can mean when he's covering up so much stuff! OH BRUCE. And lbr, he is absolutely going to make additional BAD DECISIONS after this. (But I think that being armed with "You actually do love me and I know it" is going to make it much easier for Clark to weather them.)
Now excuse me while I daydream about the scene following this one with Clark riding Bruce in his office chair, Bruce heaving him onto the desk at some point before they end up in a heap on the floor
... *fans self* You are so right, they absolutely do bang on Bruce's desk - and the receptionist totally waved Clark up and then began holding all Bruce's calls/clearing Bruce's schedule for the rest of the day, because he knows what's up. *nods*
Re: FILL: tell all the truth (but tell it slant); Bruce/Clark, fake dating (19/19)
(Anonymous) 2016-06-05 12:58 am (UTC)(link)I freaking *LOVE* when the tiniest thing betrays him despite all the scary control he has on himself, that's so painfully beautiful (as are all things Bruce, heh).

Ahaha, yes, that's like the ultimate weapon when it comes to dealing with Bruce: not taking his shit and not believing his "I don't have a heart" shtcik. Alfred can give him pointers!
*nonnie now imagines the AWKWARD moment when estranged Dick shows up and Bruce obviously and very subtly dies a little bit and Clark is all 'Wait, you have a son?!'. There would be lots of commiserating between Clark & Dick, they'd appreciate each other so much too, awwww*

YES, THIS, YOU ARE PLAYING MY SONG. *helpless flailing* It just makes everything so much more poignant, ugh, god, my feelings. /o\

:D EXACTLY. I love some good Clark angst (obviously!), but there's also a part of me that's so delighted by the idea of Bruce doing something awful For Clark's Own Good, thinking to himself that even if Clark works out that he didn't mean it Clark's still going to hate him for doing it - and Clark just taking it unshakably in stride. /o\ ♥
Haha, oh, that would be so great, anon. :D Dick and Clark would get so much mileage out of a good game of Can You Believe What Bruce Did/Said To Me ...
