that's like the ultimate weapon when it comes to dealing with Bruce: not taking his shit and not believing his "I don't have a heart" shtcik

:D EXACTLY. I love some good Clark angst (obviously!), but there's also a part of me that's so delighted by the idea of Bruce doing something awful For Clark's Own Good, thinking to himself that even if Clark works out that he didn't mean it Clark's still going to hate him for doing it - and Clark just taking it unshakably in stride. /o\ ♥

Haha, oh, that would be so great, anon. :D Dick and Clark would get so much mileage out of a good game of Can You Believe What Bruce Did/Said To Me ...
