JESUS I loved writing this just - way, way too much, because FEELINGS EVERYWHERE, and I'm so glad it wasn't too OTT for you. Bruce trying to do what he thinks he needs to and failing because of his feelings, and Clark forgiving him for it, is a thing I will never get tired of (and is probably why I enjoyed BvS so much, because that's basically the whole point of that movie).

and then of course Bruce leaves before Clark wakes up, of course he does, because WHAT ARE FEELINGS
