YESSSSSS, YOU FINISHED THE THING! :D I really love the shifting POVs and all their misunderstandings and how differently they see the same situations and Bruce trying to be all analytical about it. And Clark is being cute again, oh no! My heart.

And I love Bruce being his usual brash self because that's clearly the best way to go about things. :D

As if Bruce should count on miracles to repeat themselves—as if he'll ever be that lucky twice. "I couldn't take the chance," he says again, and that makes Clark's gaze snap back to him.
Awww, oh Bruce. <3 And I love Bruce's moment of realisation, when he catches on what Clark's problem is. Seriously, I adore how you write Bruce, how he analyses every situation and adapts to it, gets Bruce Wayne out of the magic box when necessary, and realises that Bruce Wayne isn't going to cut it. I love how even his eventual confession comes from a place of "oh, gotta say the right thing to make Clark feel better". And then they both don't chicken out, yay! I am grinning like an idiot about all of this. <3

"Oh, and, hey, if the ship calls you something—odd?"

"Yes?"

"That's a Kryptonian thing, too."
Haha, that is the perfect ending. :D I would pay to see Bruce's face when the ship eventually does. Thanks so much for writing this! Loved it from start to finish (like everything you write, oh very anonymous author ;)) and I can't wait to see what you'll get up to next. :D

I DID \o/ AND IT WASN'T EVEN A GAZILLION WORDS, WOOOOOO

*clears throat* Thank you so much! As always when I do a lot of POV-swapping, I'm so relieved it wasn't confusing or annoying - and that it really felt to you like there was a meaningful difference between their POVs that fit their characterization is, like, eight times better. :D GOAL ACHIEVED.

WHEN HAS JUMPING IN WITH BOTH FEET BECAUSE IT'S ~HIS RESPONSIBILITY~ EVER STEERED BRUCE WRONG. I MEAN, REALLY. /o\ Oh, Bruce.

:D Aww, yay, I'm so glad - I'm so glad about ALL this, obviously, that Bruce's perspective here is sufficiently Bruce-y, him testing his hypotheses for how best to handle this and discarding the failures as he goes. And one of the things I REALLY REALLY WANTED was to force Bruce to crack first, because I can hardly ever figure out how to make that happen. /o\ BUT THIS TIME HE HAD A RATIONALE. So that the rationale and the confession itself both worked for you is FANTASTIC. *fistpump*

:DDDDDDDDDD Haha, I figured I could get away with something a bit twee after all that angst!
