Author!nonny, I love so much about this, it's hard to pick favorites. I love how you've continued the theme of forgiveness. Bruce feels the forgiveness when Clark comes to him, but then again he can't be pre-emptively forgiven when he hasn't even confessed. Bruce wants SO MUCH to skip that messy middle section. Can't the part where Clark was dead already have been the hard part, he thinks?

And it's such an OH BRUCE moment, because Clark is already doing the hard work of forgiving Batman without knowing the entire picture. LIKE BRUCE YOU WOULD HAVE MADE THIS SO MUCH EASIER ON YOURSELF IF CLARK HAD THE WHOLE PICTURE, YOU MAGNIFICENT ASSHOLE. <33333

but of course if he did that, we wouldn't get such amazing identity porn, so on second thought, bruce, don't do that yet. Clark's working out his feelings for both of you. Um. Just. Be kind to the boy when he DOES work it out yes/no?

This is so sweet, author-nonny. The way that Bruce just can't take that last step to give himself the easy out. At least Bruce's love of suffering and his inability to deny himself any longer has created the perfect storm to make Bruce REALLY suffer, huh? xD

Oh, gosh, where even to start! Thank you, anon, I am so delighted that this Bruce continues to give you feelings - and forgiveness is one of my absolute favorite fictional themes in the world, which is probably why I jumped on this prompt so hard. :D And of course Bruce is particularly great to explore it with. ♥

:DDDDDDDDD Oh, thank you, anon! As you can probably tell by now, I just so deeply love Bruce tying himself up in knots over whether it's okay to make decisions because of his ~feelings~, and assuming ~feelings~ decisions are always bad decisions he shouldn't have made, and being wrong about that. /o\ OH BRUCE.
