Ah, that's what you meant by the other assignment, haha. ;D Still so happy you enjoyed the rec. You know what I enjoyed? SUPES FINALLY MEETING BATMAN AGAIN. :DDDDDDDDDDDD

I absolutely loved Diana in this, you write her so beautifully, and it works so well how she does all the talking while Batman just kind of stares at Supes. So I feel a bit bad for looking forward to them meeting without Diana around to mediate so they actually have to talk to each other (maybe Diana can go have tea with Alfred in the meantime ;)).

I adore all of Clark's brief flashbacks, how much seeing Bruce freaks him out to the point where he actually loses control for a moment.

Well. He's just as talkative and friendly as Clark remembers. Nice to know some things haven't changed.
True that. ;D I really love the contrast between Bruce's and Diana's demeanour here.

But Superman doesn't hold grudges. Superman is generous—Superman forgives.
(Superman doesn't have nightmares. Superman isn't afraid.)
Oh, Claaaaaaark. I love me some Clark angst.

No wonder he'd introduced them, Clark thinks, and abruptly wants to laugh. He must've gotten a kick out of that, knowing he was watching Superman and Wonder Woman clink glasses. The jackass.
Haha, oh Clark, you have no idea. ;D This is beautiful.

The name's so—so blunt, so baldfaced, it ought to sound stupid; and probably it would, coming from anybody else. But Diana, with her chin high, her gaze steady, the light of sunset pouring red-gold across her face and casting her all in bronze and fire, larger than life—she says it and it sounds real, like a promise. She says it and it sounds like truth.
Dianaaaaaaaaaaaaa. <3

(—with his foot on Clark's throat, mask for a face, digging in with that kryptonite edge like he wants Clark in pain, wants Clark to die hurting—)
(—and Clark can't stop him—Clark can't move, Clark can't get out—)
But Mom's alive because of him. That has to count for something.
God, this breaks my heart. Clark's nightmares and fear and his pain and yet he's still trying so hard to be fair and forgiving.

Seriously, this was amazing, I love all three of them so much, and I cannot wait for the Bat to be forced to say more than "yes" to Superman, haha. :D You are the beeeeeeeeeeest (and of course I'm always here for you and your glorious updates ;D). /OP

:DDDDDDDDDDDD It was at least as much of a pleasure as writing fills for you, OP, so I will gladly accept assignments from you any day. ;D And I know you were looking forward to this, haha, so I'm LIKE TWICE AS THRILLED AS USUAL that you liked this part! ♥

Haha, I figured we'd work our way up to that! But I'm so glad you're looking forward to it, OP, and that you enjoyed Diana's portion of this. She's a nice breath of fresh air in the midst of all this Bruce and Clark POV flailing around, I think. ;D (And yes, meanwhile in the background I have no doubt she and Alfred have been quietly circling each other via tea and fast cars! ♥)
