I love your identity porn, nonny. The way that Bruce leaks out of his Bruce Wayne persona is amazing. He probably doesn't even mean to do it, not really, but how can you be a shallow asshole 24/7 in front of Clark? ANSWER: YOU CAN'T. NOBODY COULD. AUGH THIS IS WHY I LOVE IDENTITY PORN BEST OF ALL.

I love how...true-to-life Clark's trauma feels. Instead of reaching for his immediate trauma to explain himself, he reaches to older memories (first battle with Zod). God that broke my heart, because it's like Clark is measuring the distance/progress of his emotional turmoil with the other gaping wound in his life (the fight with Zod, of which I have so many Feelings).

Like the other anon, I'm 100000% here for potential suit-porn in the next update. This is just too great, nonny. You are too kind by far. 8D

:D /o\ Oh, thank you, anon - as I said above, it really is more about me knowing my own tendencies once I let myself get inconsistent about updating, haha. seriously I hardly ever finish this many things in a row, this has been very weird <.< >.>

THE MOST TERRIBLE CONUNDRUM BRUCE HAS EVER FACED. :D Because absolutely, on the one hand he is totally trying to make sure Clark doesn't like him TOO much, but on the other hand: still so! glad! Clark's not dead, and so! concerned! about whether being dead messed Clark up, and oh, Bruce. /o\

And thank you so much for all of this, my gosh - once I remembered that image of Clark outside the ship it just seemed too perfect a comparison not to use, and the fact that it was a battle with Zod both times (... well, only sort of Zod the second time, but) just makes it a more appropriate parallel.
