Welcome to Round One of the DCEU Kink Meme!

Please have a look at the extended rules here.

The important rules in short:

• Post anonymously.
• Negative comments on other people's prompts (kink-shaming, pairing-bashing etc.) and personal attacks of any kind will not be tolerated.
• One prompt per comment. Warnings for common triggers and squicks are encouraged, but not required.
• Prompts should follow the format: Character/character, prompt.
• Keep prompts to a reasonable length; prompts should not be detailed story outlines.

Just chiming in to say that I prefer shorter prompts myself. I don't particularly care if there are longer ones though, as I tens to just skip over the really detailed ones, and I know some people prefer them.

+1 Personally, from a writing perspective the fun thing about short prompts is the way the fills can take unexpected tangents. It's harder for that to happen when the story beats are already mapped out for you.

I don't actively object to the long prompts, but I don't feel any compulsion to fill them either since it's kind of like reading a microfic anyway.

That's a good point, and I think shorter prompts also leave room for multiple fills for the same reason. Something that's more specific can only be filled so many ways.

Exactly. Not to mention, I feel like sometimes the super-long prompts are less of a kink, and more like... What someone would say if you were commissioning a fic, if that makes sense. I get that not all kinks have to be sexual, but some prompts don't even include non-sexual kinks or tropes, which is more my problem with them.

Yes, but some people are indeed turned on by somewhat non-sexual tropes. Still a kink for them...
But, I get the mod and you: shorter prompts.not lie a commissioned fic.

I did say I understand that some kinks are non-sexual, and I'm totally ok with that. It's just that sometimes prompts don't even contain tropes, which is my pet peeve.

(Sorry for spamming the meme, I'm gonna bow out of this convo now)
