GAH! BRUCE. Just give in Bruce, and accept you're doing this for less-than-pure intentions XDDDDD

And of course Martha would know. I love how you write her, motherly and warm but not being smothering or cliched. I can imagine her and Bruce getting along so well when Clark was dead.

But then they might actually figure things out and stop misunderstanding each other, anon! WHAT A RIDICULOUS THOUGHT. :D

Oh, thank you so very much - I love Martha a lot, and also really didn't want to fall into the standard "yenta side character" trap (this is a super tropey fill, of course, but I'm hoping not that kind of tropey). So this is wonderful to hear, and I'm so glad she works for you here! Especially because, yes, I have so much headcanon about how well she and Bruce could end up liking each other. :D
