Discussion/Writing Post

This post is for everything that's not prompts, fills or comments on prompts/fills. You can discuss the movies or trailers or headcanons here, but you can also use this as a writing post: talk about fic ideas you've had (whether they're based on kinkmeme prompts or not), brainstorm with others, bounce ideas off someone, or post snippets you've written to get some feedback. Or even just some cheerleading and support while you write. You can also use this post to find a beta.

Basically: if it doesn't go on the prompt post, you can do it here.

Prompt post #1 is here. All non-DCEU prompts go here.

Where did this week go already? D: Okay, so my plan for this weekend is to finish my long-languishing, half-finished kinkmeme fill from months ago. I'm about 1k into the last parts, which will probably be around 4k. Plan is to have it finished and edited and posted by Sunday.

And then hopefully next week I will write some quick and dirty porn. :D Very tempted by the chain-whipping prompt - which I can't find anymore, now that I've looked for it. Did none of us ever actually post that prompt on the kinkmeme?

Right? I mean, I ... intended all along to use the fest's first week for outlining and writing, and its second week for posting. *clears throat* Yep.

my plan for this weekend is to finish my long-languishing, half-finished kinkmeme fill

Yay! I'm thrilled to hear this - there isn't a single partly-complete fill on the kinkmeme right now that I wouldn't love to get the rest of. :D

As for chain-whipping, the only thing I'm turning up with a search for the keywords involved is an FFA thread: http://fail-fandomanon.dreamwidth.org/209389.html?thread=1155402989#cmt1155402989. Perhaps you're thinking of the chained-up altar!sex prompt, which did make it over here? (Either way, I say feel free to be the chains change! We're all anon here, and I don't think anybody would complain even if they knew you'd posted that prompt just so you could fill it. ;D)

I did at least start writing yesterday, but Monday to Wednesday I was just tired all the time. Let's hope the weekend goes better. :D Because that damn unfinished fill needs to be done already. *shakes fist at self*

I am so disappointed in all of us for not prompting that. ;D And no, I wasn't thinking of altar sex, just good old-fashioned chain-whipping. Because that would be so damn hot. *goes to prompt it then* Also I know a certain someone who said they might draw it if I write it, soooooo, you hear me, super anonymous person who said that? ;D

AYRT

:D I came up with some words this week, but ... they went to my Yuletide assignment. So I am also hoping that I can get some kinkmeme-fill-specific time staked out this weekend.

... And, in the ten thousandth example of this principle in my life to date, it took you posting the new one for me to find the old one (http://dceu-kinkmeme.dreamwidth.org/1491.html?thread=458451#cmt458451). /o\ BUT HEY YOU CAN BE 200% SURE THERE IS INTEREST.

ayrt

Oh no, Yuletide! I'm going to throw myself at Yuletide after the kinkmeme fest. I have barely even thought about my assignment.

Yay, you found the original prompt! We are not failures at prompting after all. ;) *runs off to delete the new prompt since they're basically identical*

AYRT

*Yuletide delinquency high-five* I made a SERIOUS EFFORT to start writing early, because this thing's going to be long. But, yeah, between kinkmeme and Yuletide? My family's not going to be seeing much of me over Thanksgiving, that's for sure.

:D Yes! I am actually relieved that it was just me being bad at searching, rather than a failure of the kinkmeme as a whole. Because chain-whipping. Yes. Good. (So, yeah, definitely looking forward to your fill, whether you get to it during the fest or not!)

ayrt I knew I wasn't going to start working on Yuletide until November at least because of Trick or Treat, and now the kinkmeme fest pushed Yuletide back a bit further still. But hey, there's still a whole month left to write ALL THE THINGS.

It is reassuring that we didn't just fail completely at sharing the beauty of chain-whipping with the world. It's one of those kinks that is super hot, but that I could never get into with normal human characters who'd just end up seriously injured. ;) I will see what I can do next week.

Your pencil is ready? Yay! :D I am a failure who has done nothing worthwhile in the meantime. D:

SA And because that sounded way whinier than it was supposed to, I should really try to at least finish my unfinished fill this weekend. I'm missing the writing sprints, really, I suck at writing without pressure. Anyone up for some sprints this weekend?

A PERFECT ENCAPSULATION OF MY SENTIMENTS.

I might be able to at least post a couple parts of a fill before the fest ends, which I'm going to call a win. You're doing great and should feel great, nonny, and I look forward to reading your fill! :D

Beginnings of a fill are also amazing, nonny. <3 I'm looking forward to whatever you'll post.

That sounds very respectable, nonny! I can't wait to read it. :D
