OP!!! Thank you SO MUCH for this prompt, it was like getting an early birthday present.

I REALLY HAD A NEED TO APOLOGIZE, BECAUSE LIKE YOU OP, I JUST COULDN'T NOT FOR THE TROPE-Y FEST OF POLE DANCING AND IDENTITY-PORN THAT I WROTE.

Also, I relented at the last minute, and changed the ending which also kind of negated the need for profuse apologies. Originally the fic ended at 'I need you out of my city, kid' to go with THEME and WHATEVER. Then I decided, no, Clark would not get the fuck out of the city. The Bat had given him express (for the bat) permission to be there. He wouldn't gtfo because Matches, or even Bruce, said so. I rejiggered some things, and instead of ending there, it was just a beat in the middle of their give-and-take. It was much more satisfying that way, I'm sure you'll agree. 8D

One of the things I love about identity porn, which I don't always see in identity porn fic is how real Clark would consider all of Bruce's personas to be. I love fic where Clark's like 'nah, fuck it, you're all Bruce, so I'll treat you all the same way,' but I think its FAR more fun for Clark (after the epic smackdown from the end of BvS) to respect just how different all of Bruce's personas are. I have a really lengthy bit of meta about personas vs. Clark's appeals during the Batman/Superman fight, and why they were always going to fail, but I think I will save that up to use in a fic somewhere. 8D

I saw you talking about this on FFA while you were writing it and I was one of the people who weer SO EXCITED for Matches sleazing at Clark. You did not disappoint at all. :D

YES OKAY GOOD. I was SO excited for the help I got from FFA. It helped me solidify Affleck!Matches headcanons so much, I can't overstate how amazing nonnies were. I'm going to need to give 'em props if/when I post this beast to the archive. The accent thing was right out of one of nonny's suggestions. FFA BvS peeps are my kind of peeps. <3

I would have no objections to 5k more of this, haha, but this is just amazing the way it is. Thank you so much for writing this, it's great.

That meta sounds awesome and I'd love to read it. It's a good point about how appeals to Bruce wouldn't work on the Bat.

Re: What you said in another comment about the relative lack of identity porn prompts, there are at least some. But you're right. Personally I sometimes have troubke coming up with exact scenarios and not just KEYSMASH ALL THE IDENTITY PORN! ;D
