I think Bruce is projecting: he is the one with the voyeuristic fetish, why else would he send Clark on this wild goose chase when he could have had a private showing.

I also love how Clark saying Bruce's name pulls Bruce out of being Matches--it's not his shades, but Matches; it's not Kent, it's Clark.
