Just the entire thing about super villains, cyborgs, and trippy fungus being less surreal than dating Bruce made me laugh out loud!
I don't know what gets me the most--Bruce dressing Clark like his own Ken doll or the fact that Bruce failed to realize that he would have to dress Clark like his personal Ken doll since his entire wardrobe fails to meet the dress code of some of the places they're going. :-D
And of course, the simplest explanation for the suits tailored perfectly is surreptitious scans. Which, could actually be the simplest explanation. ;-)
"You're far from the weirdest thing on this planet."
I honestly don't know if it was your intention or not, but I read this and thought it was Bruce trying to be genuine, reassuring and...flirty? Without the trademark Bruce Wayne-ness. :-D But either way, Clark missed it because Alfred never sent him a copy of Overtures of the Emotionally Unavailable/Repressed, so yeah. I just liked that line a lot. :-)
Poor Clark. He's in for a bit of a rough go of it, isn't he?
As always, thank you for sharing this little piece of happy that brightens my day. And no worries, I fully expect the not-so-happy to still brighten my day, too.
Re: FILL: tell all the truth (but tell it slant); Bruce/Clark, fake dating (7/?)
