Bruce/Clark, internalised homophobia/denial

(Anonymous) 2016-04-23 07:11 pm (UTC)(link)
It's not that Clark is homophobic, he has no problem with gay people and obviously he finds homophobia disgusting, it's just that he isn't gay. Most definitely not. It doesn't fit with how he's imagined his life, getting married to a nice girl some day and settling down with her. No way is he attracted to men.

So he doesn't understand why it upsets him so much to see Bruce flirting with other people, especially when it's men he flirts with. Why he gets downright angry when he finds out Bruce sleeps with men. He doesn't understand why he wants to touch Bruce sometimes. And the closer they become, the more they actually befriend each other, the more time he spends with him, the harder it is to be around him.

And maybe Bruce makes a move one day and Clark doesn't know how to react? Or maybe Clark figures things out on his own? I don't mind how you resolve this, but I would like a happy ending after all the angst and confusion.

You are playing the song of my people, anon.

Bruce/Clark, royalty AU

(Anonymous) 2016-04-23 08:20 pm (UTC)(link)
I just read prince!Bruce AU and now I need another. I want something where Bruce, a king, doesn't become Batman. How does he react to Superman? When he meets Clark, is it love at first sight or does he worry about Clark just liking him because of his status?

Please tell me I'm not the only one who wants to see this??!

Bruce/Clark - enemas

(Anonymous) 2016-04-23 09:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Clark takes very good care of his sub, Bruce. That includes making sure Bruce gets a good, thorough clean-out every now and then.

Bonus for soapsuds.

I'd prefer an emphasis on the enemas themselves rather than the scat, please.

Re: FILL: in my head the unsaid words; Bruce/Clark, the first time they're tender (3/4)

(Anonymous) 2016-04-24 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
:D :D :D :D :D :D Haha, I'm just glad it wasn't too OTT - I have SO MANY FEELINGS about your prompt and they're just spilling out right and left all over this fill. /o\ :D

All I can say is basically YESSSSSSSSSSSS, because everything you're bringing up to comment on is everything I could have hoped to convey! I didn't want to make this fill too long, because that would have totally tanked the odds that I'd actually complete it, but it was an absolute delight to write and I'm equally delighted that you've enjoyed it so much.

Thank you again for the marvelous prompt, OP - honestly all of this is basically your own gift to yourself, because it would never have gotten written without the prompt to give me the nudge. ♥

FILL: in my head the unsaid words; Bruce/Clark, first time they're tender (4/4)

(Anonymous) 2016-04-24 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
Hope you enjoy the conclusion, OP! (If you don't ... uh, just pretend I failed to return after Part 3.) Thank you so much for the encouragement along the way - I can't tell you how much I appreciated it. ♥

Clark is the one who makes the second mistake.

It's not that he's decided to try to do anything differently. "Try" implies that he intended to, that there was some kind of forethought and effort involved. And that's not what happens.

Because it doesn't count as forethought that he spends so much time thinking about how it went last time. And it doesn't count as effort that he twists things around in his head, so far that it starts to look to him like maybe Bruce was—was careful with him.

Which should be ridiculous. Clark had still been a little kryptonite-sick, granted, but at the end of the day he'd also still been Superman: still invulnerable, still unbreakable. He'd been all right, all right and steadily getting better. Unless there'd been another chunk of kryptonite hidden under the bed or something, Bruce hadn't needed to worry about making things easier for him. Bruce hadn't needed to—take care of him like that. And Bruce doesn't do unnecessary things.

Clark can't make sense of it, and it nags at him. He lingers on it. And the next time—

The truth is, it's the easiest thing in the world; the truth is, Clark doesn't think at all. Bruce is pounding into him steadily, exactly the way he likes, and it feels so, so good—it's like Bruce is taking care of him again, almost, putting time and effort into making him feel like this. It would have been harder to stop himself than it is to hook an arm around Bruce's neck, to tug him down until Clark can press a temple against his jaw and groan.

(They don't touch each other longer than they have to. And they don't make noise.)

And it should be a disaster; but Clark doesn't even have time to regret it.

The tail end of the groan is still shuddering through Clark's chest when Bruce—systematic, methodical, efficient Bruce—falters, stutters his hips; is only half-out before he shoves back in, sudden and off-balance and too fast. His heart sounds the same way it always does when they do this, low and quick with exertion, but his breath—Clark hears it catch, can't not, and he's never heard that sound before.

(It sounds like surprise. Bruce is never surprised by anything.)

The abbreviated thrust makes Clark curl up into Bruce that much harder, makes his arm tighten where it presses against the side of Bruce's throat. Bruce swallows, Clark can feel it, and then—

Then he slides one long strong hand under Clark, and settles it flat across the span of Clark's back. Not to hold Clark up, not to steady him, or if it is it's unnecessary—and Bruce doesn't do unnecessary things—so maybe it's just because—just because—

Clark comes in a wash of red light behind his eyelids, squeezing them shut tight so he can't accidentally fry a hole in the ceiling; and he clutches at Bruce with both hands, thighs tight around Bruce's waist; and Bruce fucks into him sharply one more time and makes a low rough sound—a sound—into Clark's ear.

And that's when Clark knows it wasn't a mistake at all.

Bruce makes himself let go, pulls out and rolls away. His heart is pounding, but that doesn't mean anything; that always happens when they do this. Listening to that won't tell Clark anything he shouldn't know.

He needs to get up. Stand up, walk away, clean himself off, wash the sweat and the come and Clark away until it might as well never have happened. He needs to get up; but somehow all momentum is lost before he reaches the edge of the bed. He should keep going—has kept going every other time, and there's nothing stopping him.

But for one unthinkable, inexplicable moment, he doesn't, and that's all it takes.

That pause can't be undone. Not even if he gets up now; not even if he makes Clark leave, if he walks right out of the Watchtower and never lays eyes on Clark again. He could have left the bed and didn't—chose not to—and that feels like as loud an action as shouting in Clark's face.

He stays where he is. Every second he keeps doing it is another mistake, and he lies there, eyes shut, and counts them as they pile up.

Clark isn't sick this time. Clark will go. He won't be cruel about it: Clark is kind to animals, strangers, people he doesn't like, all the time. (It's irrational to think of Superman's constant, relentless generosity as a step down from the anger Clark's sometimes shown Bruce. And Bruce doesn't indulge in irrationality.) He'll go; and whether he decides to come back again, whether he'll open his door the next time Bruce knocks, can't matter. Bruce can't allow it to.

The mattress shifts. The motion of it fills Bruce with a grim kind of satisfaction, the resigned feeling of being proved right about truths that are ugly.

But it isn't followed by the shush of Clark dressing, or the sound of the door. Even with his eyes closed, Bruce can follow the soft pat of Clark's steps across bare wood—and then the change in surface to tile, water running, the wet thwack of a used washcloth being tossed back down onto the rim of the tub. And then—

Then Clark comes back and lies down again, close enough to touch; and Bruce breathes in and opens his eyes, and lets himself think that maybe some mistakes are worth making.

(Anonymous) 2016-04-24 06:16 pm (UTC)(link)
No worries, OP here still loving everything about this. :D And I totally get not wanting to make the fill too long out of fear that you wouldn't finish it otherwise - I am not complaining at all because this is absolutely wonderful and I love it as it is. Let me know if you repost it on AO3 or so, too. :D

I so love this whole idea of Clark feeling like Bruce is taking care of him. <3 And how they both just break their 'rules' and it makes everything so much better. It's so hot how much small things like a groan and some unnecessary touching drives them crazy.

And wow, this whole thing just breaks my heart. Bruuuuuuuuuce, why are you the way you are? Awww, I just love them so much. I love this fic so much. Thank you for filling my prompt and filling it so beautifully, you have no idea how much I appreciate that. :D

\o/ oh thank god

I'm so glad you liked this, you have no idea! :D I've tossed it up on the AO3 too (http://archiveofourown.org/works/6645499) with a couple really minor edits.

:D Haha, that's basically my id all over this - my absolute favorite thing about wallowing in emotional repression is how significant it can make every. single. thing. anybody does, and this prompt was seriously GREAT for that. I've said this like eight times already, but thank you so much for posting your prompt in the first place! I basically never write anything this fast, and you've been so kind and enthusiastic, and I'm so ridiculously grateful. :)

Flashfic Challenge - "returnable rifle" a.k.a. "Clark Kent's Gun Kink" (Oops)

(Anonymous) 2016-04-25 03:45 am (UTC)(link)
(This hasn't been edited at all, I'm sorry for any mistakes.)

---

Superman doesn't like guns - everyone knows this.

Clark Kent, however, loves them.

--

Clark loves the smell of gun oil and gun smoke. He loves the process of taking a thing apart just to be able to put it back together; he loves the way the carbon blackens his skin, gets stuck under his fingernails.

When Clark was young still, he'd go to the gun shows and barter with the sellers for what he wanted, asked for advice from whoever would give it. Which, in Smallville, Kansas, was everyone.

--

His dad teaches him how to shoot a rifle first - shows him how to find that pocket just off his shoulder and how to lean into the rifle to reduce the recoil.

When he's big enough, he's handed a shotgun. The recoil sends him backwards a half-step and the report is deafening. He loves it.

Then his powers come in and he breaks more guns then he can afford to.

Then he's putting on the cape, and he's staring down the barrel of too many guns - and suddenly the smell of gunsmoke isn't as reassuring as it used to be. Suddenly, when he's hiding himself away on the farm, and he puts his nose to the chamber of his first shotgun - all he remembers is people screaming "Fire! Fire at will!" and he has to pull himself back, put the gun down, and shake the memories from his head.

--

"I know the difference between a Winchester and a Remington," Clark says to Bruce, trying very hard not to roll his eyes.

Bruce lifts an eyebrow as he whirls around in his chair, stopping mid-sentence in his explanation about the weaponry a new gang was using.

"I was raised in Kansas, remember?" Clark continues, stepping forward into Bruce's space. (He knows that Bruce is used to explaining himself, used to working on another level than those around him - so he's not even really angry.) He takes another step forward so that he was standing right between Bruce's legs, then he leans over - bracing himself against the console at Bruce's back. "I'm a farm boy, Bruce, I know my guns."

Bruce's eyes glance down at Clark's lips, before coming back up to meet his eyes. "Tell me then," he says, widening his legs.

Clark brushes his lips over Bruce's jawline, whispers, "Let me tell you about controlled feed action."

---

End.

Unffffff, anon, this is great. I love Clark having a thing for guns that gets ruined a bit by, well, people shooting at him, and then that last scene was Bruce. <3 Now that's some nice dirty talk going on there. :D

Makes me wonder if gun kink could ever be a thing with them, but I think Bruce hates gun too much to want to do more than talk about them in bed. Thanks for writing this. :D

Author Anon

Thank you! We Bruce guns in his dream sequence - meaning it's not really Batman, but *Bruce* who wants to use them (or it cold be just a dream, w/e). Same thing for Clark - he likes guns, but Superman doeant. So that could be a fun thing to play with - a gun kink with side bonus of identity porn.

Oh, anon, this is great! I especially love the sensory details - and the other anon said this already, but the arc of Clark struggling with being shot at (which makes SO MUCH SENSE) and then (hopefully!) starting to deal with it through Bruce is just, YES.

Re: Bruce/Clark, saying "I love you" without ever saying it

I would enjoy even a short fill, anon author, anything would be great. :D

Bruce/Clark, age difference, Clark as Robin

(Anonymous) 2016-04-27 03:47 am (UTC)(link)
AU where there's an age difference of ~20ish years between them. Bruce finds Clark (as a baby? Orphaned child? Author's choice), takes him in, and trains him to be Batman's sidekick. Daddy!kink and top!Bruce please. I would prefer if the sexual part of their relationship doesn't start until Clark is at least in his teens.

Bruce + Dick, post-BvS

(Anonymous) 2016-04-27 07:26 am (UTC)(link)
Some time after BvS Dick drops by to give Bruce a stern talking to for 1) fighting Superman, 2) thinking it's a good idea to take on Superman all by himself instead of giving Dick a call. I just want all the estranged, complicated father-son-stuff (estranged because Bruce seems so damn lonely in BvS that I doubt he still regularly talks to Dick).

Bruce/Dick is cool, too. And Bruce/Clark, if Clark is already back among the living.

Bruce/Clark - forced proximity and bed sharing

(Anonymous) 2016-04-27 04:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Bruce and Clark have only met in passing and don't much care for the other but circumstances force them to share a hotel room. The room only has one bed of course.
